Pianist/singer/songwriter Kevin Cole plays a sparkling concert featuring the great works of George and Ira Gershwin. In this energetic evening, Kevin highlights some of the famous songs that the brothers wrote together and also illuminates them as individual masters of music and lyrics. Ira Gershwin had over 60 collaborators outside of George, including Cole, who will premiere a new song he wrote to fit an existing Ira lyric. In the hands and voice of Kevin Cole, the Gershwins sound “'S Wonderful!"
Cole will be joined in performance by Tom Knific on bass and Tim Froncek on drums.
The Chicago Tribune says, “When Cole sits down at the piano, you would swear Gershwin himself was at work… Cole stands as the best Gershwin pianist in America today."
