About this Event
Bill Carrothers has been playing jazz for more than 25 years, performing in venues throughout the U.S. and Europe. In 2000, Carrothers headlined the prestigious Rising Star Tour throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. He has been a leader on seventeen recordings, all of which have received critical acclaim, and has played with some of the greatest names in jazz, including Buddy DeFranco, Dave Douglas, Curtis Fuller, Ari Hoenig, Lee Konitz, James Moody, Gary Peacock, Dewey Redman, Charlie Rouse, James Spaulding, Bill Stewart and Toots Thielemans. A resident of Mass City in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Carrothers will make a rare solo appearance on the Festival Noon Series.Media
