Polish soprano Iwona Sobotka was the Grand Prix winner of The 2004 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition of Belgium. In May 2005 she graduated from The Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. She won the first prize of The East and West International Artist Auditions in New York, which included a debut recital at Carnegie Hall in the 2004 – 2005 season. Appearing in concert halls around the world, Sobotka made her opera debut at Paris Opera in 2008. Recent engagements include L’infedelta delusa (Haydn) led by H.J. Schellenberger (Milano) and concerts with Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder with the RTV orchestra in Slovenia.
